The recomended dose is 2 tablets per day. I take 3 per day, 1 with each meal. I have not noticed anything remarkable concerning my blood sugars. Nature's Way is a good company and I believe this is a good multi-vitamin and mineral suplement. The list of ingredients is impressive and I have compared it with GNC Mega Man and found it overall much better. Next order I'm going to get their Alive V-caps instead. Shop around for discounts. I buy mine from Highlife Vitamin and Herb Company on the web but I call the phone number. I have seen similar prices elsewhere. I know you didn't ask but I haven't found any of the highly praised herbs to help at least in any noticable way. Even my old diet and exercise is letting me down a little right now but maybe you will find it to be just the boost you need. Good luck!

Thank Old man, let me know how the Alive V-caps go for you. I ordered two month's supply of Completia Diabetic Multi-vitamins and see how that goes for me. I don't take any multi-vitamins at the moment and I thought I could benefit a little from those Completia since its formulated for us Diabetics (supposedly). I am mostly interested full lineup of vitamins and the high dose of the B-Complex which might help me for a little energy boast.

I think that is because many stores use NutritionalTree.com reviews on their sites.

Been taking the Completia Diabetic MultiVitamin for over a month now and I was wondering if the Alive Multi are better? Its time for me to re-order and I just wanted some feedback.

alexg,I have taken both. I recently posted under "Vitamin C". I think I was over doing it. The Alive has a lot of B vitamins, maybe excessive. Some people may find new found energy from high B doses. They are water soluble and should pass through without dangerous buildups. The Completia Diabetic has herbs specifically for diabetes. I did not notice any help with any herb even though I had high hopes with with a couple of products. I will take the Alive but probably at half or reduced dose in the future. If you get the Alive get the tablets. I got the V-caps and several had broken in each bottle. Their explanation was the vegitarian material drys out much more than the gelatin shells. Eat lots of veggies.

for the record, since i have been on the one a day mens vitamins, and Chromax chromium suppliment,i seem to have much better control over my BG levels. infact the difference was astounding.i stopped taking my levimir, and now watch my diet, and take my vitamins everyday.if i go out to eat i will take small dose of levimir about 15 units to help control my BG level because when i eat out i tend not to be as careful of what i eat.

the other day i went to TGI fridays and got the combo Fajitas with the steak and chicken, they give you white flour tortillas (very bad for us diabetics to eat ) i had 3 of these fajitas and when i came home a couple hours later i was at a 220 mg/d; BG level, a quick shot of levimir, and 10 min on my exercise bike brought that down to more acceptable numbers within the hour (140 mg/dl ) at least in my experience the vitamins are definatly worthwhile and DO help.

i am going to share these results with my doctor as he has no clue yet,and see what he says,i am going to see about getting on metmorfin to help further keep my BG in check.

I still can't make up my mind on which to take, either the Completia Diabetic or Alive. What if I mix them, one tablet of each = two tables daily, that way I get a little of everything? I mean a little of something is more of nothing right, would that work? - The vitamins would be kinda the same and I would get half of the herbs plus half of the Alive extra ingredients.

What do you think, should I do that or just go with the Alive. I don't take the vitamins for the diabetic part, I take them for the daily vitamins essentials. My BG levels are good, 100 - 110 daily, so that is controlled and I still eat what I want.
