Janumet+side effects

Newbie here with a question--I just started taking Janumet last Thursday. One pill for three days and then increase to two morning and night. I have had reactions like this in the past to various meds and was wondering if anyone else on this medication has experienced muscle twitches?

It's not bad as I'm walking around but sit or try to sleep and jump, jump, mostly through my legs. I thought it might subside as my body adjusted to the medication but now will probably call my doctor.

Had this when I was taking Januvia. Was really annoying. Especially my eyelid twitching. Also had tricep twitching and calf twitching. Dr's said it wasn't the Januvia. BS. I take Janumet now and no twitching, but I would say yours is due to the Januvia in the Janumet.

Is it working for you?

I'm on Janumet 100mg 2x a day.
Sometimes I get those twitches.
Sometimes I think i'm the only male on the planet going through menopause. Sweats and all.

The twitches really don't bother me and I have to be sitting watching TV to really notice.

Is the Janumet working? Oh God yes!

I have had the twitches since Saturday, and yeah it gets to be annoying like now when I'm sitting or trying to go to sleep. Then on Sunday night when I increased the dose to two pills I was in the bathroom (not to get gross) most of the day with stomach cramps to boot. I called and left a message earlier with my doctor's office.

I can't say whether it's the med, the exercise, the diet or combinations of them all but my numbers for the most part are coming down and I was "really" bad to begin with.

I take numerous meds for my asthma etc..and I always get scared a new medication will affect my breathing or do something else like this that I have to suffer through

Thanks!
