Unhappy ahhhhhh make it stop!! D:

I'm having an allergic reaction to the Benzaclin I got for my acne--I put some on last night in a few spots and now the whole left side of my face is red and itchy!!! What do I do?! I'm supposed to go to work later too! D:

I used it one or two days a while ago but I got new pimples where I put it within 24 hours so I quit using it until I got another one in the middle of my left cheek yesterday.

*scratch scratch scratch*

I have my next dermatologist appointment Thursday morning at least. I've only ever had one allergic reaction in my life and I don't know what that was even from but I broke out in a rash all over my body.

You can try some benadryl to stop the itching. I would just wash your face and leave it alone. How frustrating, Dar. Maybe calamine lotion (that will be attractive) to calm it.

Thanks, I will try the Benadryl! I don't have anything else and plus I can't use anything on my face. I did take a shower and wash it this morning.

I called the dermatology clinic and left a message.

Try applying some hydrocortisone cream to you face to help with the itching.

OK, I took two Benadryl, and I just put on some aloe gel. Now it's mostly just red and hot. Don't have any hydrocortisone.

They have a clear bendadryl lotion also.

Hi Dar917,
If you have some rolled oats place dried oats in a old stocking and tie it up. Wet this and rub on itchy bits. The starch will sooth the rash.
It's a really old fashioned thing but I swear by it. At work we sometimes get kids with bad rashes and I'm known for my rolled oats baths

Thanks for the good ideas guys! It's better now but still a bit itchy. I went in to work an hour late. The nurse from the dermatology clinic just said stop using it. No **** sherlock? And the Dr will look at it on Thursday.

I'll take another Benadryl or two before I go to bed; I'd put more aloe on but I don't like to sleep with anything on my face.

Eeesh Dar. How about calamine lotion? That usually will take the "ouch" or "itch" out of a rash.

Don't have any. I'm cheap, and this doesn't happen to me usually.
