Yes -- although I do not know your age, my Endo is very big on calcium and magnesium too.

And most emphatically, I would ask about Vitamin supplementation -- it is involved in both T1 AND T2D and my internist AND endo both recommend 2000 IU a day -- 5 times hwat a multivitamin contains!

Simvastatin 80 mg
Ramipril 5 mg
T4 125 mcg
baby aspirin
Vitamin D3, 2000 IU (blood values normal, advised to continue this dose by endo)
CoQ10 100 mg
Eating 70 - 90 g carb per day
Interval training on recumbent cycle

According to Joslin's Diabetes, 2005 ed., 5 - 30% of those diagnosed as Type 2 actually have LADA.

I take a generic store brand version of women's one a day vitamins. I also take an iron tablet (low iron) plus a vitamin C to help with the iron. Just recently my CDE added 1000iu of vitamin D to the mix because blood tests showed my levels were low. I know when I see my PCP at the end of next month she'll tell me to go back to taking a calcium supplement which I haven't been doing.

Interesting. I just got taken OFF calcium supplements, by my Endo, because > 1000 mg / day is associated with arteriosclerosis. She is going to be testing my ionized Ca in Nov as well ...
