| | | Probably not but I'm due for a cruise in november.
1800 people locked up on a boat.
I'd really rather not

| | | Waiting For Doctor's Advice I see my doc on Monday. This was one of the questions I was going to ask him. I normally get a flu shot but I wanted to check with him about the swine flu vaccine.

| | | I'll be amazed if there's a doctor on the planet that says "don't get it"
Either type of flu vaccine.

| | | I'll probably go for it, but sometimes I just skip the yearly flu vaccine due to inertia. If I don't have a doctor appointment in the autumn, I tend to skip it. Have not yet had the seasonal flu vaccine this year either. |

| | | Um, seeing as how I have the flu right now (don't know if it's H1N1 or another type) I don't know if the vaccine would help me. I was planning to get the regular vaccine last Monday, but then I had to stay home all day due to the roads being flooded.

| | | I don't think I'm going to get it unless my doc tells me I should. I've had the flu before and it isn't fun.. but I don't think it's too much worse than a bad cold.
Of course, I've never had it while I had D at the same time.

| | Huh... according to this article, diabetics are three times more likely to die from catching the flu! The Flu, Flu Shots, and Diabetes
Makes me glad I went straight to the doctor yesterday when I knew I had a fever.

| | | I have a friend who is a Dr. he says No I will not be getting the swine flu the reason he gave was they have not had the time to research it as much as it needs. Added to that other then being D I am not in a high risk catagory. He just does not think it would be worth the risk for me. He is concerned about the side effects that no one knows about yet.

| | | Two or Three of the people that I work with now have kids in schools that have had cases of H1N1.
Crazy, it actually IS a real threat.
I still don't plan on getting the vaccination, though. That is, unless the doctor recommends it. :P

| | Eghad... I might actually have h1n1 right now! I knew it was possible... but I got confirmation today from my colleague who was sick that she definitely had h1n1, which means I was most definitely exposed to it. I guess it doesn't matter as long as the treatment I'm on works.

| | | Youch, that sucks. Hope you'll keep us all posted on how you're doing.
I had some strain of flu back when I was like 5 that put me in the hospital a couple of days due to dehydration. That was not fun. I've had it once or twice since then with much less dramatic results (thankfully).
