Question Fish Oil Capsules

I've started taking Fish Oil capsules to help with my cholesterol numbers. These are 1000mg/softgel. The bottle says to take 2 but I've only been taking one. Should I be taking 2 and if so, take them at the same time or at different times?

I'm taking one capsule too, and been wondering if maybe I shouldn't take more.

I take 3 of them (Vitamin World brand, 1200 mg, bottle suggests one with each meal), all at once, at bedtime, so if they bother me, i'll be asleep. I've done this for about 3 years now with no problems.

My wife's doc told her to take 6000mg a day, so we both take 2 1200mg am, 1 lunch, 2 at dinner. No stomach issues so far.

I take 1-1000mg enteric coated capsule 3 times a day - so I don't get fish breath.

Fish Oil Capsules

Thanks, gettingby, for this idea. I was taking Omega 3 capsules sometimes in the not-too-long ago (1 capsule a day), then I stopped. I thought the medications would be too much, but now that I see that everyone takes fish oil capsules, I think I will resume it again. Thanks guys, you rock.

Alma.
