Hi, I have been having a problems with my Lovenox shots or something making me break out in hives real bad. The ER doctor at the hospital told me to stop the shots but I still have hives after 5 days of not taking the shots. The doctor has told me to take Benadryl to help with the hives. Have any of you ever had a problem with hives before?

High BG can also cause hives. I have been experiencing this for the last few months and just found out recently that it is a result of out-of-control BG. ZYRTEC liquid works very well for the relief of hives. However, it does not prevent them.

Any particular reason they chose Lovenox over Coumadin?

Sounds like you must be allergic to it.
