| | | Reversing Insulin Resistance Does anyone know how to reduce Insulin Resistance? Is it a case of lowering card intake - would that do it?

| | | I don't know if it can be fully "reversed", but you can definitely help it by eating a low carb/low sugar diet. |

| | | Exercise and weight loss can help with the insulin resistance. I don't know that it can totally be reversed though.
Also, metformin works by helping your body better use the insulin you're making...so it would help as well.
Some of the effects of insulin resistance (such as the discoloration some get on their thighs, neck or arm pits) will go away as the insulin resistance improves.

| | | Exercise helps reducing insulin resistance. But, its only temporary. That's why type 2 diabetics (insuline resistant) are prescribed regular exercise. The effects of exercise will remain in your body for 24-48 hours (I read this somewhere). So if you stop exercising, your insulin resistance will eventually catch up..

| | | Just brought some Chromium tablets - they are supposed to help with high sugar. Low carb does sound like the way to go, to improve insulin resistance.
It is hard to escape from white flour, etc isn't it?
