      Fluctuation in readings

My fasting BS reading was 103 two days ago (12 hours of fasting). Today I tested after fasting for the same period and I got 106 , then I ate a meal and walked for about 80 minutes when I tested exactly 4 hours after the beginning of that meal my reading was 98- Can anyone explain this to me and what does it show about my BS - Am I prediabetic OR were my readings normal?

What did you eat? If you ate lots of carbs, walking around for 80 minutes just kept up with your digestion. If you ate lots of carbs AND fat, that extended your spike for a longer time.

Meters are required to be within 20% of actual, they usually are within more like 10% in my experience.
The differences between 98, 103 and 106 are not significant, and may in fact not even be real. When you have a number of readings from a number of days, then you can start to look for patterns.

Your glucose would reach it's peak about an hour after you eat, and you want your reading to be back in good terretory by 2 hours after you eat.

Only your doctor can tell you if you are per-diabetic. From your fasting numbers it would appear that you could be per-diabetic. Now for the good news. Right now you have the opportunity to begin eating low carb and exercising regularly to lower those numbers before you develop diabetes. There are plenty of posts on here explaining the low carb diet. Please take time to read some of them. They are very informative.
