Hello and welcome to the forum Alan. Morning bg levels are higher due to the liver dumping glucose into your blood at night because you haven't eaten for a few hours and it thinks you are hungry. What works for some is to eat a PROTIEN snack before going to bed and this keeps the liver occupied and stops the dump. Also Known as DAWN PHENONOMIN(SP) Anyway it works for me most of the time but not all the time. Another thing that works for me is a good shot of whiskey and the liver is occupied taking care of this instead of dumping and I get a good nights sleep too. I woke to a 128bg this morning which means I have to restock on the alcohol. BTW good luck on the new job and hope you have good medical insurance. Once getting this disease you will need it. Looking at your numbers though you seem to be in good shape and most likely can avoid any meds by controlling your diet and exercise. Good luck to you. Sorry about the slow response but the forum shows that I read this post even though I haven't.
