| | | Re Is There a List of Companys Who Give Samples Just wondering how many companys give free samples of Insets. Currnetly I'm using the Comfort Short. I did have one Painful insertion that smarted and burn and stung when bolus.
So wonder if there a list to get free samples?

So wonder if there a list to get free samples? | The pump company should give you free samples. I get free samples from Minimed whenever I have an issue. I also got a bunch of samples when I got my first pump. I settled on one type of set for about 9 years. Then I switched to quick sets and they were fine for 15 months--then they started kinking up on me, so I switched again. Call Animas! |

Give YOU a break?? I've been a MM customer since 1996 and I've been offered samples numerous times. Maybe it's how you deal with them? |

| | | I didn't mean to insult you in anyway. However I was very polite with them on the phone. They claim you have to pay for shipping... which is fine, but they'll ONLY ship overnight. I just can't afford that for a sample. Yet that is the only way they'll get you a sample. I've tried talking to them very nicely! But regardless, I don't have a Minimed pump anymore so its a non issue.

I wasn't insulted, Jori. I was just teasing you! Seriously, I've been offered samples more times than I can remember. Anytime I've had any sort of issue with a set, either they give me tips to improve my success rate, or they additionally offer to send me different types of sets. They also send them Fedex overnight. I got 4 free samples of the Sil's, and inserter for them AND an inserter for the Quick Sets, all gratis, and all overnight. It's not like I'm asking for this stuff. They offer it because I've communicated my frustration with set failures. I finally gave up the Quick Sets after FIVE bent cannulas within a 2 month period. I've been sent free samples from 3rd party suppliers too, just for the asking. If you feel you NEED a different type of set, I can't imagine MM not sending you at least a couple of them overnight. My experience with their help goes all the way back to when I first got my pump. they sent all sorts of various sets for me to try. Except in one instance, any complaints about my pump has gotten me an overnighted replacement (over the years, I've gotten at least 6 replacements, ranging from button and screen problems, short battery life, to outright failure). Once in a while I've gotten someone in tech support who was less than helpful, but that's not the norm.
Just don't get me started on their past billing practices, or you'll see me sing a different tune!! | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
