| | Complications ...... I just opened the results of my Ct Angiogram 64 slice test. I'm on the pump but it seems not to help my condition. I am in the 99% percentile of calcium plaque, meaning 98% in my age group have better readings then me, and 1% have worst readings then me. I had a previous heart attack a few years ago.
Then it says the flow of blood is reduced beyond my two stents. My blood pressure is high despite all the meds. I think I'm near the end of this life, 28 years of type 1 Diabetes has taken its toll on my body, and the pump the last 4 years could not prolong my life, or perhaps it did already. Diabetes really does a job on our bodies eventhough there are times we just don't realize it till it's too late.......

Flash | Flash, sorry to hear of your predicament. Don't give up though. Fight and fight and fight and try to improve the **** thing. I wouldn't rule out you being successful either. Positivity is one great weapon.

| | | Flash: So sorry to hear your news. You will be in my prayers. I agree with the others though...fight as hard as you can for as long as you can. You have many friends here (and there, i'm sure) who are praying for you and pulling for you...you are not alone. Also, go see as many docs as you can til you find one that can help you in some way. Hang in there! |

| | Hi Flash. Recently, a family member made an offhand comment about the fact that I have so many health issues, I probably will not live too long. It just hit me wrong, and I told my family I intend to live to be 120. I told them to not argue with me, I already made up my mind, no matter how much they beg, that was as long as I intend to be around. Don't let a piece of paper tell you how long you will be here, prove them wrong!

Flash | Flash I'm wishing you the best of luck. I had triple bypass surgery done after 33 yrs of the big D. Now 10 years and one stent later I am still doing OK. Fight the hardest you can and try to stay positive.

Flash | Just to let you know, and give ya a lil bit of a pep talk Flash ... my 76 yr old mother in law just had a TRIPLE Bypass along with an unexpected Mitral Valve Repair a month ago. She's doing SUPER!!! All this too, with JUST having bronchitis/pneumonia the week before!! Surgeries these days are a lot less invasive than they used to be and recovery is a lot easier too. Good Luck!!
