| | | What's your target BG after meals? We probably all got trained to do "anything under 180 is good 2 hours after a meal".
Do you still follow that or have you evolved into a different target post meal blood glucose level?

| | | I still follow that. Mostly because if I'm lower than about 140 two hours after a meal, I'll probably go low before my next one. I try to keep it between 130 and 180, but 130's pushing it.
That said, I'm still working on a strategy to help me bring that range down and still keep from going hypo before my rapid wears off.

| | | I strive for 140 or less...less being preferable. This is what my doctor told me is a "non-diabetic" range and said I should try and stay in this range. Of course, i'm T2, so it may be different advice if T1. |

| | | My personal target is 120/6.6 after meals. Generally, I'm lower than that.
BUT
I rarely have trouble later on. (at 3, 4, 5 hours) as if I'd go that long without eating.

| | | 140 or less for me also. Most of the times, I'm in the 120's or lower.

| | | I would like to be no higher than 6 (108), maybe 6.5 at 2 hours. That's the plan... but I need to get a little better about my low-carb eating before I'll see that working properly! For now I'm happy so long as I don't go over 8 (144).
I used to think it was normal to hit 10 after most meals.. now I freak if I see a 10 (180) and start wondering whether my eyes or kidneys are feeling it!
I suspect we're much better off if we can stay within non-diabetic BGs for most of our day. Now the only trouble is to get people to agree on what non-diabetic numbers actually are!

| | | I aim for under 150 at the 2 hour mark. However, I tend to drop later and will often go into an insulin reaction if I'm under 150.

| | | 150 for me, 140 is ideal, but 150 is achievable.

| | | I like to be under 140. Any higher, and I know I won't come down much (or it will even increase) by hour 4. I test 90-120 minutes after eating and then an hour after that, usually.
