Question Question for UK pumpers

HI just new here, I am wondering how long it takes to get funding for the pump. Our daughter has just been approved by our consultant and he has just applied for the funding. If anyone would like to share their experiences I would be very grateful, thanks

I think you will find each area is different. To get an answer you need to ask your daughters consultant.

sue's right,
my hospital keeps the pumps in stock and put a 'course' through each month. it was first suggested to me about 8 weeks ago, and i had a rather heated discussion with my specialist about it 6 weeks ago. i started pumping today

how long funding takes and who gets one seems todepend very much on where you clinic is based. some areas seem to have more funding than others. just keep pushing them. its the pct's decision not NICE.

where are you based?

welcome to DF btw
