Do you know the cheapest place to purchase CLEO 90 infusion sets

I am a Viet Nam Vet that recently is being supported by the VA for my insulin supplies. The VA refuses to support me on my pump supplies but will provide me all the insulin I need. Since I have the pump (and now no insurance) that is not an issue however I have to start purchasing the supplies (CLEO 90) for about $130 for 10 infusion sets. Does anyone know of a source/website/program that a person that is not covered by insurance can get these supplies any cheaper???? I'm even thinking about getting a conversion device from fifty50 pharmacy to covert luer locks to mini-med if I can find them cheaper... Thanks for you help in two months I went from an A1c of 9.8 to 5.6 because of the pump with no crashes. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Hi John.........that's a great improvement in your A1c. Sorry, I can't offer any advice as to where you find pump supplies cheap. Why won't the VA help you out with them?

As with anything with the government it is a long an complicated story. It boils down to money. There is a very narrow criteria that they approve the pumps for vets. Some VA's are more liberal then others. If hind site is anything reviewing my records will show that the pump really works. I am using lantis now and injecting 100 units at one time. I am insulin resistant and I believe that has a lot to do with why the pump works for me.

Try to see if Smiths Medical would give you a discount for direct payment without insurance involvement.

Animas told me they will give a 30% discount, and actually
my daughter likes the Insets better than the Cleos.

Good luck

So how much is a box 130 minus 30% off 91 dollars?

Thank you very much for the idea.

John, if you are Viet Vet Are you getting the VA Agent Orange compensation? It runs around $200 a month for some one on pills and $400 a month for some one on insulin. The only criteria I know of is that you must be a Viet Vet and have T2 D.

Thank you kindly I am aware of the VA program and do participate in it to the extent that I am able to. They just won't pony up and pay for the CLEO 90's
