| | | Affordable CGMS where you live? First, sorry if this is well covered somewhere, I tried a search but couldn't narrow it down enough.
Wondering on how available affordable/insurance covered CGMS is. In the states or elsewhere. I'm in Australia, there is no subsidy or insurance coverage for CGMS that I'm aware of. As a loose rule we follow the US - 3 to 6 years afterwards, is my impression.
I have the paradigm 722 so I'm just waiting for that cool little device to come and plug in. But, I'm also not near rich enough to afford the unsubsidized purchase and then running costs.
Is CGMS affordable where you live and for how long has it been so?

| | | Subby,
I'm in PA and waiting for the same thing. I know some here have gotten insurance to cover it but I'm at first rejection phase. Waiting to appeal till I see my pump person next month.

Not affordable.
Almost impossible to get a hold of.

I'd almost be willing to kill for a CGMS! But I'll have to wait until they become more common place and hopefully government subsidised. Could be a long long long long long wait!
