Hi guys,

been pumping a few weeks now, seem to be doing ok and a lot of support from my medical team, but still learning. Hopefully i will now be able to come on here with my problems and either ask some of you or read up on whatever is troubling me and hopefully get answers.

Julie,

I've been pumping w/the 522 for a little over 2 weeks. Several experiences already, but most of them were good to learn from! I love my pump, especially now that I have "erased" my DP with several morning basal rates! Pretty soon, I'll stop testing 10+ times a day, and be happy and settled w/6 or so!

Ask anything! What infusion sites are you using? I finally used my upper leg, which was very comfortable, but I never wore jeans over it because I'm worried about rubbing the canula out! I've been putting in way above my pant line and haven't yet tried the backside where there is more fat! I need to get brave and try a few different areas. I use the stomach because I feel more control. However, it sure is nice to have a bare stomach sometimes!

Jan,

Yes learning from the experiances, things are taking time but hopefully get there eventually. Yes hopefully soon will get my testing down also.

I'm using the Quick sets and my tummy area at moment, maybe use thighs in warmer weather when I wear skirts and dresses more. Yes I will ask away about any problems I have or even questions that i'll need help with.

Julie

I'm curious whether your medical team is promoting basal testing. Are they?
