Cozmo Letter

Hi--

I'm not sure if we all got it, but I got a "Product Safety Alert" letter from Cozmo. It said that some Cozmo pumps were powering down all by themselves. Yikes.

As I read on, I saw that it only happened when people didn't tighten the battery cap tight enough. In fact, so loose that the pump still does "battery beeps." Now, I don't know about you, but I'm pretty careful about things like that and I pay attention to any beeps that emit from my pump.

None the less, we have now been duly warned.

It's kind of like reading the warning on the side of the matchbox: Caution: Contents may catch fire.

Thanks, Smith Medical. You're there for us. Mich

I got that letter too, and honestly, I don't want another CD or paper manual floating around - LOL. I went on their website & filled out the thing, saying I received the info., though.

I got the letter too, and the good laugh.

It's like they said "If you don't pay attention to what you're doing, and are careless about a medical device, negative results could follow." Evidently some user had this problem and Smiths felt the need to "cover all the bases", or were advised by their attorneys to send a letter.
