Question Questions about switching pumps?

I just recently switched from a mm508 to the Animas IR1200. So far I am loving the new pump. My question is for anyone who has switched pumps, some company or to different companies, did you basal rates change?

I have noticed that I have had to change mine, pretty drastically. I am not sure if it is because of the pump or it could be me. Since things are settling down for me since going back on the pump in April, just wondering if things evening out could also be the reason. Any input would be helpful. I hate to call the pump rep and accuse her product of being the cause, if that is not the case, or if this is something normal to expect?

Thanks for the help,

Kim
