Paradigm Minimed Cable to borrow near Seattle?

Hello, does anyone in the Seattle area by chance have one of the minimed BD connect cables that I could borrow for the evening? I'm looking for the one that goes between a PC and the Paradigm Link monitor.

I have an appt with my endocrinologist in the morning and was supposed to upload all of my info from the pump to the website. Unfortunately I just now discovered that the necessary cable doesn't come with the pump, you have to buy it (aargh!), it's a proprietary design (aargh!), and you can *only* buy it online (aargh!).

If some kind soul in the Seattle area has a cable I could borrow for the evening (tonight) I'd be happy to repay you in any way you see fit.

(Please use the forums email function or pm this member if you have the cable.)

Thanks so much!

-Tim

Hi Tim,

MiniMed is actually GIVING AWAY free cables for their CareLink software (this month only i think) at the moment. Just log on to your CareLink account and look for the link in the bottom right section of the CareLink home page. It will read:

"NOW Available! New CareLink USB Upload Device. To upload data to the system you'll need a cable or other connectivity device. For the latest promotion on the new CareLink USB upload device - click here. If you need a cable for your meter please contact your meter company."

Pretty nice... they even ship it for free

Hope that was helpful.

Tim, most of the endos in the area have the link cable already, so they can download your info in the office. If your doctor is listed as one of the one's Minimed referrs people to, then he/she probably has it.

Unfortunately I only know of one MM user in the Federal Way area, and he's probably at work right now. You might try calling your MM rep to see if he/she would let you have/borrow one tonight. I know that one rep was named Cathy Aulik, she works out of the St. Francis system... I don't know if she still is in the area though. I'll try emailing her for you and if she gets back to me tonight, I'll have her PM you here.
