Cracks in my pump

So I changed out my battery last night and noticed a couple of cracks in my pump case below the battery cap. So I called MM this morning and told them about it and they are sending out another pump and I should have it by noon tomorrow.
I also asked the rep about the new link meter, he said it looks like summertime before we get them, that they are still waiting on FDA approval.

How is your Friday going?

My Friday is going well! I've had a mm715 & a 508 before that & never had a crack. Guess I'll take that as lucky. I have had a couple of battery caps go bad on my 715.

Going to check out their new meter. Didn't even know about it until you mentioned it.

I'm getting my MM/CGMS today (UPS just called)!

It's good that they are sending you out a new one. It's always surprising to me the amount of water I get on my pump, doing dishes, washing the car, etc. One time a crack got my pump, and I didn't even see it! Luckily Cozmo sent a new one right away.

I was not sure if they were scratches or cracks, so I got a magnifying glass from one of the girls at work and she put on her biofocals and we both inspected the pump

Dropped my less-than-a-week-old MM 722 this morning for the first time... such a kluzt sometimes... still... no apparent harm done

I use the smaller clip (the one that fits on the pump as opposed to the pump sliding into the clip) and I'm taking a while to get used to having a clip again... my old one broke a couple of months ago and didn't realise that they (at least in Canada) replace them for free.

Hi there palefacegirl! Glad to hear that you got a new pump so quickly! I noticed on my Animas a few days ago, that it has squiggly little lines on the grey part beside the screen and I'm wondering if I should call Animas about it. I don't think they'll affect the pump at all......hmmm.

Thanks for reminding me about my pump cracks. I have one on mine under the battery cap as well that formed itself in the past few weeks. It's odd though because my last battery change was over 2 months ago. Looks like I got 9 months out of this one.

I would call them and let them decide if it needs to be replaced. This is our life line, so we cant take chances with it.
Better safe than sorry.
