Highest is 6 units of Humalog. That was a couple years ago for a Mexican food meal. My usual TDD is 18 - 22.

I've hit around 24u. The max set on my pump is 20 and I had to do 2 to cover all the food. It wasn't necessarily a lot of food, just something that easily added up.

On MDI, my evening meal bolus was typically 10-12u. Most I ever shot up was around 15 IIRC.

My biggest pump bolus so far was tonight for around 120g of carbs. It was 8.5u, including a correction as I started a little higher than I'd like (6.7mmol) due to an earlier hypo and the subsequent OJ.

It whispers and it flirts with me

Rolls over, farts and falls asleep

And I would wake up, feeling used
My body broken, bent, abused
But now I match it, hump for hump
I give it plenty with my pump

Most I have ever bolused at one meal would be about 20 units. My blood sugar was high before a meal that we ate out and I just went for it. Generally, I bolus around 5-6 units.

Maybe about 10-12 units for a Thai meal...or Indian...something really fun.

I don't like to take more than 8 or so...will usually split those big bolus amounts into two. I'm really sensitive to insulin and find the big amounts work too fast when the food is still in my tummy. (No gastroparesis...but same idea)

Maccas is short for Mc Donalds.

On rare very high carb meals (120g +), with some correction thrown in, it can hit about the 15u mark. I think I might have once done about 19u.
