When you shower

Just curious.....When you take a shower do you disconnect your pump or do you shower with it connected. If you do disconnect do you suspend it or let it run?
Me I just started taking showers with it connected and when I don't have it on when I shower I just let it run.

If I take it off, I let it run. I almost always leave mine connected. I usually bolus for breakfast then clip it to the top of the curtain. I try very hard not to drop the soap

I disconnect in the shower, mainly cause it would be on the floor or hanging more often than not. I'd knock it off all the time or yank on the tubing. I just leave mine on the bathroom counter on, no suspend. I'd get annoyed with the beeping every 3 minutes if I suspended it.

I bolus for 20-30 minutes worth of basal and suspend. I also make sure I don't leave the pump where a cat can play with the tubing!

I forgot to mention I don't suspend my pump. I should.....because I have left it sitting on the counter at bedtime. An alarm would remind me. I just don't do it.

Disconnect and leave it run. Usually only 5 to 10 minutes at most it is off.

Disconnect & let run. Sometimes I give myself a tenth unit when I reconnect just to be tidy.

Ok now, I feel like a dummy. Why don't you suspend instead of let run?

Disconnect and let it run. Never thought about suspend to tell the truth. A little beep to remind me to connect back up might be helpful though--sometimes I forget for a little while--usually not though.

Disconnect, don't suspend.

I don't know about you being a dummy, Jan, I think of not suspending as just laziness more than anything. For me my reasoning is, that in 20 or 30 minutes, it's just not "worth it" to save the insulin, throw in wanting to save my ears from a few more beeps, add basic laziness not wanting to press more buttons, and voila.

It's probably true that the reminder beeps would have made me put it back on a little faster sometimes. But I consider it a wonderful psychological break to take it off and NOT be hassled every few minutes by it And for me, personally, I'm very unlikely to forget to put it back on.
