I was getting ready to pick some cool colour... but then I realised the clear was the winner for me. As said, it goes with anything, looks vaguely tech and cyborgy, and I would guess would not show up scratches etc so much. It's a really nice neutral.

With something on 24 hours a day that's important for me. Maybe others would prefer to have their favourite colour or something. Just a personal thing eh?

I wish Smiths Medical had a clear version of the Cozmo, they only have black, blue, and green. Oh well, still really like the pump.

Oh that is just too cool. We dont have that option for the one touch link and our pumps.

I do have all kinds of cases that I put my pump in, today, Pif ( that's my pump's name, the purple insulin feeder,LOL) is dressed in a bluejean pak with Hello Kitty on it.

There was a stand-up comedienne who would ask a man in the audience what kind of a car he had. He would say something like, "it's a '68 Camaro with a 350 cubic inch V8 and Webber four-barrel carbs..." then she would get him to ask her what kind of car she had... she would answer, "It's white!"... "White goes with everything!"

When I owned MiniMed pumps (all the way from the 507 to the 512), I chose blue. One time, I got clear (when my 511 had to be replaced), but didn't like it...it was "too boring" for my tastes (if you know me, you know I love Bright colors!).

Of course, if they made neon green translucent pumps, I'd be ALL over that! lol I love the blue still, and if I ever went back to MM, that would be the color I still choose (unless if they came out with bright color choices). I like not being in the "majority."

I have the smoke because it looks less like some crazy tech gadget and fits with most clothes. The clear one looks like some computer.

I guess that I'm just totally un-cool then...I ordered a charcoal/smoke/gray 522. Oh, and it's arriving today!

LOL...Actually, it means you're a trend-setter (which is even cooler than "ultra-cool!") - You're not following the majority, hehe.
Congrats on getting the 522!

After making this initial post, I ordered the Smoke ! Knowing that I would be un-cool ! However, I now read and find that I may be among the Ultra-Cool, because I went my own way...Well at 70 years old, I find thinking of myself as cool not possible, after so many decades of being just ordinary ! To me the smoke color seems as a old friend, that I just couldnt say goodbye too ! My 722 is supposed to arrive today ! I'm working toward CGMS, and this is the first step! Thanks for all the great posts about this, some were so funny ! Have a super day ! Dan
