| I meant if someone has upgraded from an out-of-warranty Cozmo pump to an Animas pump and have no use for it and prefer to exchange it with my Animas IR1200 pump so both of us can benefit from this exchange by having a back up pump that is compatible with the same cartridges, batteries, and software that includes all of our basal rates and saved programs.
I am not very good at keeping a back up such as a vial of Lantus and syringes so if anything goes wrong with my current Cozmo pump, I will either have to switch to Lantus until I receive a replacement or switch to my old Animas pump, cartridges, and AA batteries. This can be a problem if I forgot any of those. Therefore, it is a lot more convenient and simpler to keep a back up pump that works with the same software, cartridges, and batteries that I have on hand.
This is 100% legal because I own the pump and I am going to exchange it (not selling it) with another diabetic patient who is eligible to use an insulin pump and who already own an Animas pump so he/she knows how to use it. I will send all documents to prove my ownership of the pump.
I believe many users have another pump laying around that is out of warranty and not using it. If so, I would really appreciate it if you don't mind to do this exchange with me. I will ship the pump first to make sure you find everything working properly.
Thanks!
