First No Delivery Alarm

Well, I feel official now. I had my first no delivery on Sunday morning. I was due a set change and when I awoke, I noticed I was higher than I should have been. No big deal, correction bolus. Part of the bolus gets in and then I get a "No Delivery"(or something similar to those words) alarm. Decided to go ahead and do my set change. No problems after that. Man, it's great to feel "official". LOL

Funny thing is, my endo just said something about this in March when I went to see him. He asked if I had experienced this yet and when I replied "No", he seemed slightly shocked. Said it probably wouldn't take long for me to experience it. Guess when I go back in June, I'll have to tell him he was right and I hate doing that. LOL.

Cin,
Is congratulations the right sentiment here? Maybe not but you didn't panic and fall to pieces. That's certainly a good thing...

Took me over a year to get my first no delivery alarm. Only has happened once in a year and a half. It was a clogged set.

Actually, on the Cozmo, it doesn't say "No Delivery" (that's MM). Cozmo usually says "Blockage detected" (if it's a blocked set), or it will give a different alarm statement if the set has "run dry."

Glad you got the set changed & are back to running smoothly.

You are right Dew. I couldn't remember when I made the post exactly what it said. I was due a set change anyway so I just did it earlier than I had planned. All is good now.
Funny thing is, when I removed the old set, there was a drop of insulin coming out the end of it. Possible it was blocked somewhere along the line. Visual inspection showed no blockage but that doesn't mean anything.

Alright, I didn't want to start a new thread about this, so here it is.

I have just gotten my third no delivery alarm in the last two days. I changed the entire set both times for the first two, the last one of which was yesterday morning. Everything was smooth for the rest of the day. I ate lunch and dinner, and my post-meal BG #s were decent. My BGL before bed last night was 133. I was hungry, so I ate a bowl of cereal (I know, eating before sleep is not the best idea :P), and bolused what I normally do each time. I woke up this morning with a BGL of 205. Alright, no biggie, I must have eaten more cereal or something than I thought. I went to eat breakfast (cereal again, woo), and I got ANOTHER no delivery alarm when I tried to bolus. Howeverf, I did not get an alarm when I bolused to correct the high BGL, which wasn't even 5 minutes earlier. The tubing has not been clogged either time, and insulin has flowed if I disconnect. I haven't tried any new sites or anything, and I don't think I have any scar tissue. Could it be a faulty box of infusion sets? If it is, it's the entire shipment that Minimed sent me, because I made a point to open a new box of sets before I switched every thing out this last time. This is driving me crazy... I have a microbiology test in two hours, and I do not want to be dealing with this right now. Should I call Minimed? I don't have time right now, but it wouldn't be a problem after my test is over.
