Got my new Cozmo Pump

I got my new Cozmo pump in the mail. The biggest reason I wanted a new one is that my warranty was up on my Cozmo. It took a little convincing with the insurance company. My current insurance company has never purchased a pump for me (the one I had was purchased by the insurance company I had through work at that time). They still did not want to approve one, unless there was something wrong with the one I had. The Cozmo rep called me and asked if there was anything at all that was wrong with the pump. I told her I had a scratch on the screen, but it was not making it unreadable as it was just on the battery meter symbol. It did feel a little deep, but I do not think it compromised the integrity of the pump, but apparently that was enough. The Pump was approved on Friday and arrived at the house on Tuesday. Switching over was so easy, less than 10 minutes. I waited until Wednesday afternoon, so I could start the new pump with a new site change and everything. I fired up Smiths Medical CozManager on my pc, placed my old pump in front of the IR port, downloaded the program and history log. Put the battery in the new pump, after it booted, I placed it in from the of IR port and loaded the program I just got from my old pump on to the new one. Put the new reservoir in the new pump went through the load steps, and wallah, less than 10 minutes later, pump is fully programed and old one packaged up to send back. I then fired up CoPilot and imported my history / logbook readings from CozManager so I would not lose any history. I was very happy at the quick service and easy process of the Smiths Medical products. They also sent me a new CozMonitor attachment, but I prefer not to use that and will stick with the FreeStyle Flash and Freestyle Lite meter I use.

Hey Glucoweb. Glad to see you were able to get your upgrade! I too, love Smiths Medical's products. Never had any problems with them, and have been with them for a little over 4 years now.
