| | | Need 3 day reminder software ! I'm looking for a PC program that when I change infusion set I can start a 72 hour count down reminder for next time ! Do you know of something ? I hate being awakened during the nite with a reminder of low reservoir, that will probably happen when I'm awake anyway ! So when I upgraded to MM i chose the 722 model with large reservoir. I can put in enough insulin so I can change it at 8:30 am, every 3 days ! With never a notice of low reservoir ! I can check each morning to see if its been 3 days, but a software solution would be neat ! Thanks ! Dan |

| | Yup,
I can recommend 'Calender 1.0' and 'Pencil 2.1'
On a more sensible note, I'm afraid I don't know of an automated alternative. But you can always set calender reminders in Outlook if you want. They'll beep you.

...And through the night it's love is free
It whispers and it flirts with me
And then it takes me, hard and deep
Rolls over, farts and falls asleep
And I would wake up, feeling used
My body broken, bent, abused
But now I match it, hump for hump
I give it plenty with my pump

| | | Cozmo has this feature built into the pump software. It would be nice to see other pumps incorporate that in the future.
You can also check prime history if you just can't remember when the last time was. |

| | | I wish MM pumps had some of the features of other companies. By pressing the esc button and 3 or 4 presses on the down arrow. I can see the date and time my reservoir was last started. A 72 hour reminder would be great though ! Dan |

| | | I suggest "Rainlendar2". It is free and displays a calendar on your desktop. It can be set to display a notice for any number of days, weeks, or months you choose. |

It also will tell you how much time is left until it runs out. This is for basal running only. There is also about 10 units left in the resevoir when it says there is 0 units left. I have run for a few hours when it said it was empty with no problem. Not recomended but there is a little reserve in it.

| | | If you are using Windows, you already have everything you need. You don't even need Outlook. In the Start menu, go into the Program, Accessories, Sytem Tools menu, and you'll find "Scheduled Tasks". Just set one up in there to run a media file of your choice.

| | | If that doesn't work you could set an alarm clock or set an alarm on your cell phone or a watch. Just try different things till you find one the works for you. Good luck.

| | | I can never remember when I changed my set so I check the Prime history on a regular basis. Sometimes the time goes by so fast I end up going 4 days on a set. Other days I panic and think I forgot to change it, and realize I did it just the day before.
I fill a cannula and use it until it's empty so that's no indication for me.

| | | I write it down on my BG Log. Things get all goofed up for me if I don't write it down.

| | | Play with your pump more and it will become second nature to review the total insulin amount left in your pump.

| | | I live a very active lifestyle and I used to forget how many days it'd been since a site change. One way I have recently found that seems to be working for me is I now change sites on Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. I keep the old set in place for a few hours after changing just in case something goes wrong. Since doing it this way, haven't had any problems.

| | Yet another option for those not tied intimately to a diary/watch/ organisor/computer/cozmo... get a very fine permanent pen and write something on the actual set itself. Real estate depends on the set type, but on my sils there is the body I could put "Su" for sunday, "W" for wednedsay, etc. You might be able to put time down too if you can write small enough
Obviously avoid the line and cannula! It's also not much use if you can't see your set due to position...
Still, thought it worth adding to the ideas.
