| | | New Animas Pump/Meter Check it out here.
It will be a pump with a matching OneTouch meter that will both send results to the pump, and let you calculate and deliver the bolus from the meter. Very cool. And the software for it is Mac compatible. |

| | | Now that's what I've been wanting. A pump that can be controlled via the pump and wirelessly. Now I need to search for pictures.

| | | There's a small picture on Animas's home page.
And did I mention MAC COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE! It's about time! |

| | I hope they slowed the bolus speeds down somehow. If they did, I will definitely be ordering that mid-august.
And yes, Mac software compatible rocks. A pump company that sees the light of Microsoft's failure, lol.

| | That's Awesome! I like the look of it (the Ping). The meter looks like a One Touch UltraSmart, and it's cool that it will communicate wirelessly for multiple functions. Digging it!

| | | All the "new" stuff seems to be coming out again. I like the look of the new "ping" and the pump appears to be smaller. I like it! |

| | I know!! It was hard to tell from the picture, but it does look smaller. As I get older, I need the bigger screen. But.....would deal with a smaller screen as long as the fonts were HUGE. . I like the look if it is true to the picture on the Animas page.
I love new stuff! |

| | | The pump is 1/4 inch longer than the 2020, and the screen is the same size as the 2020, but looks smaller on the slightly larger pump. |

| | | That looks really nice but would be better with an integrated CGMS. Before I decided to go the CGMS route I was considering Animas for my next pump, which would have been next April (got my first MM715 in April 2005). I stuck with Minimed because the CGMS is covered by insurance and I don't want to have a separate monitor to carry around. I did NOT have to Pathway to upgrade to the 722 because my insurance actually covered the new pump as well. I now have a 715 with 10 months left on the warranty and the 722 with 4 years.
I'll see how that Ping looks in 2012!
And, I wish Minimed had gotten a link meter that had all of the UltraSmart functions rather than the Ultra2.

They've taken away all the fancy buttons at the bottom that operate those advanced functions so this meter may not be any better. Crossing my fingers that it is though.

| | | Interesting.
I don't like the look of the Ping compared to the 2020. It doesn't look in proportion to itself - the screen is much too small for the size of the pump unfortunately.
Then again, it's about what pleases your own aesthetics.

I can't even read the screen on the Ultralink with my perfect vision in many lighting situations. It's both low contrast and sans backlight. |

| | | I hope they are still working on the Animas/Dexcom combination. Wasn't that suppose to be coming out next year or 2010? I use both now and it would really be nice to have them integrated.

Therefore, adding integration with a CGM wouldn't be to hard and possibly right down the road.
