| First of all, for me it has been pretty difficult to break--yes, I've smashed it in a car door. I did break the rubber on the buttons once and Animas didn't hesistate to send a new one. Personally, I'm not going to waste time worrying about it breaking. If they refuse to cover it under the warranty, they've just lost a good customer over something that costs peanuts to them. Think about this from their business perspective. You also have to consider that when you buy a pump, you are paying for more than one pump. Pump companies know that pumps break. That said, without reading all the details of every warranty, I don't think they are legally obligated to replace the pump under such a circumstance although it would be stupid not to.
