Bloody sites

Anyone else? For the last month, I have had blood on the tape around the canula. I have also had to switch from 3-4 days to 2 days........the site just suddenly stopped lasting. I was sure that the switch in days would eliminate the blood, but, no that didn't work. I am using the sila-serter to insert and the blood is showing up sometime after day one. Does anyone have a clue........I am rarely clueless......but this has me baffled.

I also use the sil-serter. I found that because the angle of insertion can vary, sometimes I am too deep and that's when I get blood. Lately, after much experience with the sil-serter I have been able to find an angle where I won't get blood most of the time but once in a while I still do. I also found (only 2X) I will get no blood until I pull the site out and then I get a lot to the point where I have to apply pressure to get it to stop. It's kind of tricky but I would suggest that you look at the angle you are inserting at.

Pep,

Thank you, I will try to pay attention to that and see if that helps.
