Post Minimed 508, display problem

Hi,
I have Insulin pump Minimed 508, and I use it for 2,5 years.
Now, I have problem, with display...
When I set pump, on display shows many strange symbols (like Chinese) for 1 sec.
When the pump is on Stand By all it's ok.
Did someone have similar problem?
Thanks

When your pump starts up and does a self check after a battery change, this symbol page is normal. If you pump is working fine once this self test page disappears, I wouldn't worry about it. This is normal function.

I am not familiar with that problem. Call Mini Med. If there is a problem with the pump they will send you a replacement.

If the pump is out of warranty (my guess it is, since it is a 508), MiniMed will not send a new pump. Medtronic stopped selling the 508 somewhere around 2002.
