Question Anyone experience this...?

Before I took my little break from the pump, I had a smallish sized lump where I had one of my sites in my abdomen. I thought it might be an infected site. Well, it never went away. Yesterday I decided it probably would be best to get it checked out by my primary care doc. Well, I was relieved to find out that it's just a cyst, she said very benign and that I shouldn't worry about it. But my question is, is this going to keep happening with my pump sites, b/c if so I don't know if I want to continue on the pump. I don't need or want cysts all over the place . I'm just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else or if anyone has some insight on why this might have happened.

My doctor said that if it was reallly bothering me, I could go to a plastic surgeon. I couldn't believe that...I would have to go that far to get rid of it?! Unfortunately, yes. She said if it goes away it will be a very long time and the only thing that might help would be seeing a plastic surgeon. Well, I don't think I am going to do that. It really isn't bothering me. I don't like the way it looks, but it doesn't hurt or anything. So I guess I'm stuck with it for awhile, but I guess it could be worse.

Haven't had that from the pump yet, but have tons of knots in my arms from 15 years of injections.

Thomas will have a small lump after he changes sites but it goes away in about a day or so. He changes his site every 2-3 days.

My experience is similar to Thomas's, though sometimes I wonder if my abdomen area is getting a little lumpy as a result of the pump. I noticed that the site heals a lot faster if I change it every 3 days rather than every 4 or 5.
Cheers,
David

$ or 5 days is pushing it but some people go with what works for them. If and thats a big IF I cannot change my set for 4 days I will have a rasied bump and it may take another 3 days to heal.

So yes the days you have your set in can contribute to these bumps.

Make sure to track where your last set was at to avoid site sores.

I get that raised bump to after I take my set out too. But this is something different. This is a cyst... Something that's not going to go away, or at least for a long while. I guess I'm hoping someone who has had this type of thing can give me some insight on if they had reoccurences of it and if there's anytning I can do about it, other then see a plastic surgeon.

Thanks for your replies
