animas ir 1200

Hi,

I have an opportunity to get Animas Ir 1200 . It will be my 1st pump. May I have your experiences and thoughts about this model ?

That's what I currently use. It's a great pump, although the case tends to crack quite a bit near the battery cap (I've had 3 new ones due to that problem in 4 years.) If you have any specific questions on it let me know.

Thank you. What is the cost of the disposible parts? Is the size really small? East to hide?

Size is about the size of my cell phone. It actually fits in my cell phone holster. The cartridges are about $30 a box of 10, should be changed out once used, hold 186 units of insulin each, however, can be reused 2-3 times without problems. Infusion sets vary greatly in price from $100-150 a box of 10, and MUST be changed at least every 3 days.

It's one of their older pumps, so how are you getting it?
