Ping EZmanager question

Hi. So i just recently started pumping with the onetouch ping & i just have a question about the EZmanager softwear.

when i follow the steps in the guide to connect my remote to the ezmanager program, it searches for my remote for a while and then comes up "remote not found." I'm using the USB cable that it came with. Is there something i'm missing? Is there a step I need to do before all this? Can I not just plug in the USB to my remote and computer and try and connect them? I've read the manuals and I cannot find anything about this.

Thanks!

are you connecting your one touch meter to the usb cable?
on mine, the connection into the meter is not the greatest. i have to hold the rubber cover back, and press the connector in really tight or it will not make a connection.
for the IR dongle for the pump it has to be pointed at the back of the pump to get it to sync. it sometimes takes a few times, but that connection into the one touch ping meter is in my not so humble opinion, not perfect.

With the USB Infra-red dongle on the 2020, there is a driver that must be installed BEFORE you install EZ manager. Can't speak for the Ping as the meter part is obviously different, but the pump part of the Ping is pretty much the same as the 2020.

What will be worth trying is the freephone tech support number. There is a dedicated department purely for EZ manager support and those guys will be able to help you.

...And through the night it's love is free
It whispers and it flirts with me
And then it takes me, hard and deep
Rolls over, farts and falls asleep

And I would wake up, feeling used
My body broken, bent, abused
But now I match it, hump for hump
I give it plenty with my pump

I had the same problem with my Ping. However, I discovered the fix:

1) Remove belt clip.
2) Attach wireless cable to computer.
3) Install software for cable (included in that box).
4) Make sure the pump is in suspend mode and that the screen is active.
5) place pump on side, and point the end of the cable towards the back side of the pump. allow about 2 inches between the 2 devices.
6) The have it search again.

I make sure I hold everything very still and do not let the pump go to sleep. Touching the button on the side (the contrast button) helps.

I was wondering if you have changed your tones? I have composed a new tone and uploaded it to the pump. However, the ezManager software does not "play" the tone when I push the play button. My speakers work and other apps have no problems making noise, but this app just won't play to tone. So I have to composed something, upload it, and wait for the tone to play.

Also, I only download readings from the pump. If you also download from the meter, then you end up with double readings in your reports.

Cheers!
