| | News, An Insulin Pump You Can Show Off. Jiri Bukvald, a Czech product developer, has proposed this beautiful design for an insulin pump that looks like it's straight out of Star Trek. The OLED display uses little power and looks almost like printed paper, providing easy readability while using little precious battery power to extend the time between recharges. | | | That is one sharp looking gadget. Two different sized reservoirs, how cool. It looks as though this designer wants this to be a CGMS system built in. I wonder if this will ever fly.

| | | It's a nice design and all, but I doubt anyone looked into the feasibility of actually implementing it. Which means we'll never see anything like this. |

| | That was a design that came out over a year ago - its still AFAIK JUST a design - no one is manufacturing it
Look at the last drawing - where is the battery ?

Since Smiths Medical has given up, I hope there will be more options available in 2 or 3 years - if not I may just go back to MDI |

| | Well, it may be just an idea, but it is very sleek looking. Hopefully, the pump companies will keep this sleek design in the back of their mind. It is very nice looking. They do need one in green and pink for Dewey though.
