how does the omnipod deliver bolus and basal and do most pumps do that

All pumps basically work the same. A PDA or the pump itself, is set to deliver a small amount of (usually) fast acting insulin throughout each hour as a basal rate. You deliver the bolus amount depending on what you are eating.

That is it in a nutshell.

notme hit it on the head. One thing I found is if you go to youtube and search the different pumps, their are people who have made Video's. One of our members have video's of the Omnipod on youtube, and I found them helpful when I watched them.
