| | | You can use any kind of infusion set you want, except ones designed speficially for the Paradigm (but even those come in a Minimed version for their older pumps that will work with your pump). I use Liberty and they sell pretty much every set under the sun. |

| | | is there one you would recommand? Bc these are just NOT sticking and they hurt. My BS is over 400 tonight bc they just won't stick at all so they keep falling off. I have already called and complained and they are sending me a new box but I think I am just sick of these are they just don't seem to work. I have went to Dr and trainer ect its not me its the product so I am a bit annoyed. For tonight I am just going to use some shots and get it down until I can figure out a new set I think.

| | | I personally like Silhouettes, which are identical to the Accu-Chek tenders (make sure you get the shorter cannula length). Many people like the Rapid-Ds too, though. Ask whoever you order from for samples. |

| | | I get mine directly from Animas. I prefer the longer tubing. You may want to call the different supply houses or even the pump companies themselves and ask for samples of each. On another forum a lot of folks seem to like the Sure-T from Medtronic. I am sure that they make one that will fit the luer lock system. But call for the samples. I have gotten a few myself. All they can say is sorry we don't do that or at best you find a set you like.
Good luck

Good luck | Minimed doesn't sell a version of the Sure-T for luer lock pumps but there is a version out there. I believe it's called Contact and I'm sure a lot of DME/pump suppliers will have it.

Just sending you more of the same set that hasn't been working doesn't sound like the best solution. You might have trouble getting samples from other suppliers if you don't have a prescription of file with them, so try Accu-Chek first.

| | | Do you use an IV Prep wipe to make you skin stickier before insertion? Some folks here also use IV-3000 (?) clear "second skin" type patches to cover the infusion set and help it adhere.
I agree that your pump rep should be supplying you with samples of other infusion sets to try.

| | As said earlier, you can use any luer lock kind of set. When i first started pumping, i used Rapid D but didn't like them much, then switched to Quicksets which after a while made me never want to use the pump again, and now i'm on the Insets and loving it
Just try some different sets and see what you like best and what fits you best If you have problem with the set not sticking to you properly, try IV prep before inserting, and if that fails, try to stick the set through some Tegaderm or similar plastic film, and then you can even put an additional layer of plastic film on top of the set (just then you can't disconnect, unless cutting a hole in the plastic for the actual site, and just cover the adhesive and area around it with the additional sticky plastic).

| | | Today I got my package from the company in. I had called to complain. They said they believe there was something wrong with the Lot I received. They sent me 50 Iv Prep wipes, and 100 IV-3000 one Box of infustions and 2 others types to try. Also a Accu Chek linkAssist OH My Gosh! How did I do this without a LinkAssit! That made a WORLD of diffrence of how it felt. As far as staying on so far so good.
The IV-3000 goes OVER the set right? That is how I put it on.

| | I'm glad to hear that they stepped up with some better support for you - that is at least part of why we pay them the big bucks for the pump isn't it?
You can use the IV-3000 (same type of thing as Tegaderm) over top, or some folks put one on the skin first and then insert the infusion set through it... I understand that some even do both

| | | I am not sure what else you can use. But check with your pump manufactor to see if you can use Cleo infusions. I used am swicthing to the omnipod, but I have suppies for my Czmo left over. I would like to sell my infusions, and put that money towards my new Omnipod supplies. |

Some people use them under the set (they insert right through it) because of sensitivity to the set's adhesive.
