Unhappy Inset 30 - GRRRR!!

Me and the inset 30 are NOT getting along. I know how to do it. But I do not seem to be getting the cannula in deep enough. Then I'm suppose to be able to "see" weather it is in or not. I feel like a dog trying to see its butt. Not to mention my skin is white and almost the same color as the Cannula. WHy ooh Why don't they make a Colored cannula and if you do not see it then it was inserted correctly.. gess whizz.. have to think of everything!

Thanks for the sound off and rants.. Just high and sick of it too..

Isn't that why you are supposed to tap the needle after you insert it to begin with, to make sure the cannula has rooted completely before you withdraw the needle?

Yup. I think I read that on their infusion set site. Granted, I haven't even gotten my pump yet, I'm just going from memory on things I've ready lately.

Yesterdays inset

I put in a brand new inset yesterday and it is very nice. I really like this one. I"m thinking that maybe me and my DE will throw out the numbers from Thurs. thru yesterday. We see..
I did not realize that I would go so high for my first pumping week 200 to 300's plus it is hot and humid this week. My husband has been looking at me like i'm a tic about explode. Just feel so yucky. HOpefully this week is better. Thanks for listening/reading

I do not insert manually. After the infusion set has been inserted, I then press down lightly on the needle before removing it.
