| | | CozMore enroute... My Smith's rep just called me and my Slate Gray Cozmore is enroute to me as I type.
I should have it Thursday here at work, and then at some point I meet up with a trainer, and we'll be off and running with the Cozmore.
I just realized I have these weird pangs of hurt thinking for the first time in about four years, I'll not have a blue, leather-encased MM 508 clipped to me.

It, of course, does not feel that these new fancier models can do the job as well as it did, they are lazier, they have too many buttons to push, too much can go wrong, but the MM 508 is proud and it will go to the drawer without a struggle and spend the remander of its days knowing it kept you alive for four long years.
We will all pause for a moment of silence when the MM 508 is disconnected for the last time.....

I thought there was a discussion once here in the pumping forums that gray pumps were uncool or something of that nature! ha ha ha. My MM is gray so that is why I remember it...I was thinking, me? uncool? ****.
Well, anyway, that is exciting news. Good luck on the transformation. |

I chose gray because it looks more like a pager than the other color options (blue and purple, I think...Somehow, I *just* don't think I would be happy with a purple pump). These things do not have a leather cover, so that will be weird as well.
Kelly, I think it will be weird disconnecting for the last time from the 508. This is actually my second 508, my first stopped accepting input about 15 months after I got it--It kept up its basal, but would act weird if a key were used. So MM sent me this one, and when I had to pack up the first one to return, I started welling up with emotion. I was at work, so that made it even weirder since my co-workers noticed..."Hey man, are you okay?"
"No, I'm emotionally attached to this thing--it gave me my life back!" sob/cry/boooo hooo hooooo...
lol

Well, anyway, that is exciting news. Good luck on the transformation. | I have a Teal green 508. I wasn't too thrilled that MM dropped that color for the Paradigm series. So I've had to make do with the blue 515. It's "ok", but not as cool as my Teal 508. I'm learning to cope though...

I looked but could not find the thread right off, but I distinctly remember a conversation back in the winter wherein some folks were saying the colors were the best and that the only people who wore gray ones were starchy professional types. I was horrified that I might be put in that category so I made a mental note to stay in the closet around the forum about the color of my gray pump. LOL. I think Meech was the only one who admitted to having a gray one, for the same reason I picked it, because it was innocuous looking.
But like I said, I can't find the thread, so maybe I am not remembering it right... |

It's very easy to grow attached to something we live with every day...
I wanted to chime in here as well to say Congrats on your new friend. (I agree with Cin... Purple is a good color! It would go especially well with your man purse, if ya have one! ) Good luck & keep us posted!

| | | duck...
first, congrats on joining the elite cozmo group. i've been using mine for three months now and i'm still happy with my decision. just curious though, mine came with a leather (or faux leather, not sure) case with a clip. what will you be using to keep it with you? maybe i'm just misunderstanding you. i don't like the case though and just want a simple clip. i also went with the slate grey as well. i'm more of a slate grey person then an atomic purple person. enjoy the cozmo.
