Question Well, I failed miserably

Last weekend I went to the pool and I wanted to use an infusion set on my thigh as opposed to my abdomen. The first time I used an 6mm inset on the top of my thigh right by my pocket and as soon as I injected it I felt stinging, therefore I had to take it out. Around two hours later on the same leg I used a comfort set probably 2" lower and more toward the inner thigh; I pinched up a piece of skin and inserted it in an upward motion with the needle pointing up toward my face. As soon as I injected it everything was ok, no pain. I just left it without connecting it b/c I wanted to make sure that it was comfortable first. A couple hours later I began to feel stinging when walking, especially going upstairs when I'd have excruciating pain in my thigh so I removed it.

What am I doing wrong? Any tips? Where are yall putting them when using them on your leg? I want to get this figured out before my trip to the beach in August. I want to stress that I have very little fat on my legs. Any help would be appreciated!

Must be nice.

Dude, my only suggestion is to try the MM Soft-Set QR; It's what I use and I've had nary a problem (knock on wood)...I *think* they'd send you a couple to try and get you addicted. Worse comes to worse, I'll give you a couple.

(I'll be playing in my computer lab and watching the game the rest of the night, but I'll try and check in...)

I tried the Animas inset which i think is the same as the Soft-Set QR. Does this set go straight in? I've tried a couple of the 6mm insets on my abdomen. They started out fine but started to sting when bolusing after a day or so. I think I'm having these problems because i've always injected in my abdomen, that's why I want to try new things.

My animas trainer is also going to come back over and see if I can put it somewhere else. I'll let you know what she says.

by the way, I see you used the binary code.

Here's another one for you:

This is "duck" encrypted in a 256 bit Hexidecimal Key. Same stuff used in WEP. It's not very secure technology (WEP), but that's another story I won't get into. 802.11i is a diamond in the sky.

Fun Stuff.

Adam, I've got a suggestion for ya........

Just start letting yourself go like the rest of us! You'll have plenty of sites to choose from then! With a girlfriend like Cielo feeding you all sorts of wonderful goodies, you can't make the rest of us feel a little better and gain a couple?

Oh I've been doing enough gaining for the two of us. Last fall I was underweight and I've been on a very successful gain weight diet since then. I'm latina so yall know where that extra weight is going....Adam says my butt has its own zip code. I have gained about 15 lbs and I think I'm comfortable at this weight....I'll stop now.

Honey, nothing wrong with a little bit extra trunk! Have you by any chance heard the latest Black Eyed Peas album? There is a very funny (or so I think) song about this very topic.

lol, you're gonna get me in trouble with the moderators!

I don't know what kind of music everyone listens to, but this new album has some good songs. James Brown, Jack Johnson, and Sting make guest appearances on this album too. I give it a 3.5 stars out of 5, but would recommend it to anyone of "adult" age, due to the content of some of the songs. The album is called "Monkey Business"

p.s. you said you are latina, man talk about a lovely Latina Women. The woman in the Black Eyed Peas, has a great voice, and great everything else... I could have me some of her on a cracker!!! (for anyone not in the south, that's a compliment! )

I find that when I put them in my thigh they feel the most comfortable the higher up they are and the more inner you go.
