I haved learned that Minimed has this set out, and I know that I've seen it mentioned on here before. It is called the Sure-T set by minimed. I just want to see a pic of it. I have tried google and also minimed.com and there are no pics of it anywhere.....Does anyone know where I could find a picture of it? Thanks!

I don't believe it's out yet, or maybe it is. I was looking and found a few sites saying it was coming out the end of February, but nothing that said it was out yet. I'll keep looking though.

I work for a diabetes supply store and they just told us today that our store is now dispensing them. But, we won't have them in-store until our minimed order gets there. And, since I don't work at the main location, I'm not sure when I'll see them. So, if you can find a pic, I'd appreciate it Thanks for your help!

Sorry OT but you have been quiet lately or have I just been thinking that. BTW, your catching up to me on posts. Maybe instead of Senior Member Tony can put Post Ho! under your ID. Hey not a bad idea, have everyone come up with a little name under there original name.

All I have found about the sure-t is this:

"There's a new infusion set that Minimed is going to market, forecasted for the end of February. It's called the "Sure-T" and it's a 'pliable metal cannula' that's supposed to work well with ped's patients."

That's with numerous searches and checking a few online stores.

I've just been pre-occupied lately. If you came to chat you would know about some of it. So step in chat in the evenings some.

Another idea from MM, GREAT!!! Don't they realize they flat out failed the last time they introduced a new infusion set?

actually they did not, it was the quick set plus,... they pulled it, if you look it's now marketed under the name simple choice pro, that is the set I am using, never had a problem with them. the problem with them was that when you went to reconnect, sometimes the needle on the connection hub would bend and insulin would stop being delievered.. minimed recalled the line, and now simple chpice is marketing them, and from what I understand, they are doing quite well...... the company that makes these sets also makes the sets for minimed...

here is a link..

I know all about the quick set plus! I was one of the "victims" that was subjected to the worthless set. It was a class 1 recall which means it could result in death so I'm sure if another company is using the same ones then improvements would of had to been made.

I nearly died from using the quickset plus. I had a major problem even trying to get the needle removed after insertion. So far as Minimed, I think I will stay with the original quicksets that have caused very few to no problems.
