Touch Bolus Cozmo

Well I did it. The side touch bolus broke off after I ate a choc. egg on easter i guess that was a sign not to eat anything else with sugar.
my replacement is on its way.

Exclamation Touch Bolus - Cozmo

My touch bolus button broke off about a year ago. They sent the replacement button shortly thereafter, but I never put it on. I have only used the touch bolus maybe twice in my two plus years of pumping. I like the combination boluses, and you can't do that with the touch button.

The touch-bolus button should be replaced if it falls off: If you look inside the opening that the button sits in, you'll notice a rubberized plastic membrane--This is what keeps your pump waterproof, and without the touch-bolus button covering the membrane, you run a greater risk of puncturing the membrane and then ruining the pump.

No, not usually. I've had my Cozmore since 2004 and that's never happened. The only issues I've ever experienced with it were tiny stress fractures by the battery housing & on the back of the pump, which didn't affect performance or delivery. I only had it replaced once, but have had similar issues with this pump (some slight stress fractures)....guess I'm somewhat tough on my equipment? lol

Well, when I had it replaced, it was for that reason. The support person was very nice & apologetic, and sent a replacement on a Friday afternoon, which arrived Saturday morning. I'm having similar issues with this one, but I've had it for a loong time now (since about May of 04 or whenever the other one had its issue) and have bumped it, dropped it & banged into things, etc., without trouble (till now).

The adhesive has worn off mine three times within the last year and I don't even USE the touch bolus button. Customer service has always been real nice about replacing it though.

Mine gets taken in/out a lot of the casing, and bumped, moved, et cetera though.
