| | | Low Carb Cheese Bread Found a great recipe for this low carb bread made with soy flour.
i ate 4 little rolls of this for lunch today (with salami and mustard). Tasty!!!
my BGL went from 95 before lunch to 110 two hours after lunch. so they work as advertised (on me at least).

| | | Sounds good! I will definetly have to try it out. Soy flour is great, I bake muffins with it and they are soooo good. That website has a lot of low carb recipes, I will have to look around some more.
Thanks!!!!

| | | 32 carbs for one 'piece' of bread? That's not low carb in my book! the bread I buy - not even a specific low carb bread or anything just a typical thin sliced multigrain - is 17g carb for TWO slices.
How big is a 'piece' of bread from that recipe?

| | | Oh wait... is a piece the whole loaf? In which case, that sounds good if it's a big enough loaf!

Anyway as we're type 1's and can bolus for bread. Type 2's is another matter. Still this is a good thing to bring this up Joel as it's always a good idea to look for alternatives to the diet.

| | | I think it's 32g for the loaf, it's made with what soy flour, egg, cream, and cheese? Not much carbs in any of that, fats another story. You could cut the fat by using half and half, I've done this with a similar recipe for muffins that calls for soy flour and cream.

| | | Any suggestions on the brand of soy flour you use? I have had some in the past that was so nasty, dont know if it was just that brand or what. I have heard soy flour is "raw" ground soy beans and soy powder is cooked soy beans then powdered? Maybe I night try the powder.
