| | My Wife Loves Me! I've been doing really well, watching what I eat, exercising daily (not this week do to my back going out  ) BG average doing good my wife decided to bake some brownies...mmmm!
This may have been posted before but they were good!
BROWNIES FOR DIABETICS
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
Sweetener equivalent to 1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sweetener. Add melted chocolate and beat until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and nuts. Beat until smooth. Pour into a greased and floured pan. Bake for 30 minutes. 1/2 bread and 2 fat exchanges.
Hint: Ingredients to be cooked should be at room temperature unless otherwise stated.
hmm, maybe make them low carb and add some bacon

Well, Ant Hill, it's hard to describe exactly what it is about brownies that is so enticing. They're thicker and more substantial than cookies, chewy, fudgy, rich--rather like a very dense cake--but they're not heavy.
