banana split dessert...

This is yummy...good spring/summer dessert

1 pkg. s/f vanilla or banana pudding
1 cup sliced strawberries
1 sliced banana
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 tbsp s/f chocolate syrup
1 8oz tub of Cool Whip (s/f or regular, not much difference carb-wise).

Make pudding according to directions.

In bowl or glass, layer in the following order:
pudding, strawberries, bananas, more pudding, cool whip, pecans, chocolate syrup. Refrigerate for an hr before serving.

**This is very pretty in a parfait glass or in a small trifle bowl. You can also crumble up a few graham crackers and sprinkle over pudding layer, but this will add more carbs.

I'll bet the cheesecake s/f pudding would be GREAT in this..I prefer the vanilla to the banana...as to me the banana doesn't taste as authentic. Its a nice treat. If you can't tolerate bananas, i'd definitely use the banana pudding and leave out the actual bananas.

Yeah, I can't stand artificial banana-flavored stuff. Real bananas, I don't mind.

OH OH OH ... YUMMY YUMMY!!!! Ok, I'm going to have to try this one. Who needs the chocolate on top .... I don't think it's necessary. Thank you for this great recipe, my hubby really deserves a dessert and he has been so tolerant of our house not having any in quite some time now!

hmmm it sounds delish, except for the banana which my BGs really can't handle! I like the sound of everything else though - I'll double the strawberries, yum
