Actually, I sometimes add ALL of the above - to potatoes in the past, and to cauliflower now; cream cheese, sour cream, butter, salt, white pepper & garlic! Ooooo Yuummmmmm!

| | | I make a mixed apple pie, it needs very little sweeter(just a few tablespoons for a 9 x 13 pan of it), I also love baked brussel sprouts and homemade cranberry sauce. Another thing to do is try 2 bites of every thing, you won't miss out on anything and by the time your done you will likely be full. I also put the low-card stuff on my plate first.
Whatever you do, be sure to have fun, it's just one day! |

| | | Could you use cream to thicken turkey gravy? Also, does anyone have a good low carb cornbread dressing recipe--or is that an impossible request?!?! I have Almond and flax meal, and Carbquick (which I've never used).

| | | I suspect I will have a cream gravy on the table, mushrooms, sage, etc. ... maybe over carbquik biscuits ... as well as the "celebration roast," (which if I recall has stuffing in the center -- mine will go for the birds!).
I am TOLD (Sammy again, age 6.5) we are having guacamole and chips (I just skip the chips), and a pumpkin pie.
And probably green beans ... or brussels sprouts. DH insists his veg must be plain, steamed. I like to SEASON them!

| | | Mmm, Brussels sprouts quartered, sautéed in butter until tender, then splashed with cream and cooked a little more until the cream clings to the sprouts. For extra wonderfulness, sauté some pancetta or even bacon in with the sprouts. I used to do them with chestnuts too, but chestnuts are tragically high in carbs.
