brown rice flour and oat flour for baking

i just bought some oat flour and brown rice flour and made my first recipe, pizza crust. from what i read, both brown rice and oats are low glycemic and lower the bad cholestrol. i am so glad that the crust is soft, because i worried that the yeast may not rise the bread. it tastes very good although next time i need to make the dough stiffer. next i will make bisquits and i want to research other recipes with those flours.
having to stay away from white flour and white rice was a challenge at first, but now i got a tasty solution.
please respond with any ideas you may have.

I have no ideas but would love your recipe. They are testing my daughter for celiacs and so we may have to go gluten free. I know the rice flours ok not sure about the other one but it's worth a try. You can pm me the recipe it you get a chance. Thanks

recipes can be found on the net, just google for brown rice recipes. i am new to brown rice flour and made that pizza crust for the first time yesterday. make sure you get brown rice flour, not just rice flour. there is a big difference in nutritional value. i used one cup of half oat flour and half brown rice flour to make a crust for a very small pizza for hubby and me. i added just enough lukewarm water to dissolve a tsp yeast and kneaded this into the flour to make a stiff dough, and smoothed it into an oiled pan, then your regular pizza toppings starting with tomato sauce, oregano and cheese.

i just made buttermilk bisquits and they turned out well. this is a resource for people allergic to wheat too.
2/3 c oat flour, 1 c brown rice flour, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp honey, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 c raisins or dried cranberries, 1/2 c to 2/3 c buttermilk, gradually added to make a stiff but loose dough. form balls and put on oiled cookie pan, bake at 375 for 15 to 20 min. i noticed that when they start to brown, they do that alot quicker than the wheat bisquits, so keep an eye on them.
i want to try this for ;cheese bisquits and various crusts as well.
have a blessed christmas, aloha!
