| | | For Lunch... I decided to splurge and pretend I was normal today. I had a foot long subway spicy italian (on wheat), a diet coke, and ***drum roll*** a MARS bar. That's a whopping 116 Carb lunch. **** on wheels I am. Well, I started out lunch at 4.5 (at tad low for my comfort). So, I started with a Dual Wave Bolus for the sub (82 carbs, 50% Insulin now, 50% Insulin over the next half hour) and saw how that went. An hour and a half later I was 5.8 . That's when I decided to start the MARS. I took another bolus to cover the MARS (34 carbs, PURE SUGAR). Two hours after that I was 6.2.
Oh did that taste great, and the BGs just made my day.

| | | I find I can manage subway pretty good. I look on the site, pick my sub in their guide, and bolus for it.... (along with my two cookies! mmmmmmm)
I usually stay within targets quite well!

But now I've creeped up to 7.0 (another hour later). Of course, I also stopped my basal (for the reasons posted in my other thread "I need help")

| | | Foot long subways are tough. I bolus for 97g of carbs when I have one. I've decided that I will stick with the 6 inch subs unless I have my Symlin handy.

| | Yeah, I'd have to take almost a day's worth of boluses for that one sandwich~ but it would probably be worth it
glad you enjoyed it

| | | I'm usually the 6 inch Turkey sub myself. The foot longs just foul me up. I bolus for the 6 inch 38g and if I feel good that day I might even get a bag of Sun Chips. There easy the carbs are right on the bag. Most of the time I'll eat the chips about an hour later. Works for me. Now I'm hungry for one!

| | The best lunch!! That would have to be the best lunch you will ever have and to boot accurite as well. I should try that method to have half of the bolus before and after say in an hour.
