| | | Lord help me, I'm such a fast food junkie. But I really do try to stay away from it. . . Now that having been said
This week I haven't been too bad. Only had Mickey D's susage burrito once - my absolute favorite, and yesterday for lunch I had a Wendy's Frescata club sandwich - somewhat healthy - right???

| | | A few days ago - KFC for dinner. Chicken, chips, and gravy. I'm fine eating KFC if I don't eat the chips, but this time I had some and went in for a second helping. DUH. I jabbed for it but not enough... big time spike!
Lesson learnt. Wont stop me doing it again though lol - being on insulin I should be able to eat anything. It's never that simple, but if I fancy take-out then I try my best and generally get it right. Home made it always so much more reliable.

| | | I occasionally order a McD's single hamburger, no cheese. Only about 30 carbs. Not a big deal and a quick lunch when needed.
The Asian Broiled chicken salad is pretty good, but with all the extras...it's 45 carbs. About the same as a Big Mac.
I don't like McD's overall due to the amount of sodium they add to the food. Not so much due to carbs. I can find a reasonable carb item easily. |

| | I haven't had fast food for almost 2 years now...since diagnosis 10/12/07 (prior to that I was a junkie to it). I do eat out often...but I since I am controlling with diet and exercise I need to be able to go someplace where I can special order most things and have some vegs. Plus....I really LOVE being waited on and served |

| | | I carry a pamplet book thing in my purse called "Nutrition in the Fast Lane" It breaks down fast food items for carbs, proteins, etc. Very handy. Though I've had more fast food in the last month than I'd like to say (we need to go grocery shopping very badly!) I usually stick to Subway or Wendy's (I love how you can get a salad instead of fries with the value meals!).

| | Mmm. Fajita Pita Chicken sandwich at Jack in the Box on Saturday.
We were driving down the Owens Valley on 395 returning from a week in Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite. NO SNOW on the backs of the Sierras!! Wow, it's very dry out here I've never seen so little snow in September!
We had a bear bite into a box of wood we left under our camper. He must have had a lousy sense of smell! He rocked our camper trying to reach the wood. Yikes!

| | | Yesterday, Wendy's Mandarin orange and chicken salad and a large chili....Hubby and I share them. He gets fries too, but even if I could eat them, I don't like Wendy's fries. That is the 2nd fast food in a week, but we had a rough day yesterday.
